This is a very rare piece of Irish provincial silver made in c1780 by John Hillery. It is in very good condition, maker struck twice in the lid and twice in the base, it is a good size, 9cms long it weighs 135 grams, it has a period crest for MacNamara. This has interesting provenance , it featured in The Times newspaper in 2016 in an article about the booming price of Irish silver. I have a copy of the article.
