This is a beautiful pair of tongs made in London in c1780 by Hester Bateman. They are in very good condition, very crisp bright cut decoration, the hallmarks are very clear makers mark and Lion and duty head, no date letter. They are 13cms long and weigh 30 grams, they have period owners initials PP.
