This is a really nice Exeter spoon made in c1640, it is in very good condition, unworn bowl with X hallmark and 2 further X hallmarks on the handle, X was used by a lot of 17th century Exeter makers, this mark is unusual as it is not crowned and needs research, it is similar to the mark used by Edward Lake with the crown, it is 16.5cms long and weighs 42 grams, it has period owners initials SS on the back of the bowl
