1745 rare beautiful Scottish George 11 silver bowl by John Kincard 215g
£640.00
This is a fine bowl made in Edinburgh in 1745 by John Kincard assay master Hugh Gordon. It is in very good condition, very good hallmarks except the maker is poorly struck but I am sure its Kincard. It is really well made, beautiful Celtic border on the rim, fine Paw feet and it has a gilded interior. It is 12cms diameter and weighs 215 grams. It has a motto Modice Augetur Modicum and a crest, Holloware from Edinburgh from this period is quite rare.
A fine piece of 18th Century Scottish silver
