This is a lovely large snuff box probably made in Scotland in c1740. It is very well made, very good silver mounts and the shell has survived well , there is a small imperfection but its in the shell not a crack. It is 9cms long and weighs a good 100 grams, it has owners initials DC and scratched date 1740 and number 186 .
