This is a lovely snuff box made in London in 1744 by well known maker Robert Cox. It is in very good condition, full hallmarked in the base with matching maker in the lid. The lid is interesting as it slightly concave and has a nice feel, it is decorated with a lightly rubbed countryside scene. It is 7cms long and weighs 43 grams, it has period owners initials EO.
