This is a lovely pair of Adam style candlesticks made in London in 1774 probably by John Carter 11 a specialist candlestick maker. They are in very good condition, the hallmarks are a bit rubbed but I can see the date letter, the maker is rubbed but on one of the sconces its ?C probably for Carter. They are 17cms high and have loaded bases, they have a period crest on the sticks and sconces.
