This is a fine pair of tongs made in London c1809 by Smith and Fearn. They are in very good condition. nice spring action, the hallmarks are clear makers, Lion and Georgian duty head, no sign of a date letter. They are 26cms long and weigh 140 grams, they have period owners initials in script.
