This is a wonderful Georgian silver tea caddy made in London in 1812 by top makers Benjamin and James Smith. It is in excellent condition, very good hallmarks under the base with matching date letter and lion on both lids. It is a rare caddy, twin compartments with locks, very nice swing handle, fine fluted decoration. It is very heavy, it weighs 845grams and is 17cms long

A really fine piece of early 19th century silver.
